Let customers speak for us
from 75 reviewsThis is a wonderful book that is really more than just great stories. This would be a great experience for a parent to share with their child, introducing them to a second spoken language. The bonus activities add a wonderful element. Would recommend!
A delightful collection of five inspiring stories, perfect for early readers. Edward’s adventures teach resilience and the importance of support. Each tale encourages kids to embrace learning and believe in the kindness of others. Highly recommended!
I speak Spanish but my children do not speak it as much...my fault. This book was creative, and it allowed me to continue to teach Spanish to my kids in a fun way. It was a smart purchase.
"Edward the Egg" is an engaging and delightful book specifically tailored for young readers. The stories are captivating and brimming with humor and excitement, making it an enjoyable read for children. Through Edward's adventures, kids will learn that perseverance and hard work can help them achieve their goals. The book follows Edward as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery, learning essential life skills such as cooking, fishing, horseback riding, swimming, and even driving. Each story has valuable lessons wrapped in an entertaining narrative, making it an ideal read for young minds.
This is an adorable story about the courage to be kind. The message is beautiful! The illustrations are simple, but I appreciate that kids can color them.
My kids thought this book was fun and entertaining! The images are silly (in the best way) and they've requested to read the book more than once—which is the ultimate endorsement.
"Edward the Egg, A Different Kind of Brave" is a cute adventure story about having the courage to do the right thing. It is also a story about how to find inner happiness and satisfaction. It is also a story about understanding one's limitations and carefully making plans to work within those limitations to achieve your goals. Edward is a resourceful character who is physically very fragile. But he has arms, legs, a bicycle, and a brain on his...well, maybe he doesn't have shoulders, but he does have a brain. And he uses them all to go to the grocery to buy the ingredients for a recipe he loves. The plot has twists and turns, throwing curve balls into Edward's carefully crafted plan, and he must make decisions on the fly to adjust. After some soul-searching, he always decides to go outside his comfort zone to help someone, cheer someone up, reassure someone, or accept someone's kindness toward him. A child can learn so much from this story about what it means to have character and integrity. The illustrations are very crude pencil drawings that are meant to encourage the young reader to draw their interpretation of the scene on a blank page following the illustrations. These drawing opportunities are sprinkled throughout the story. This would be a good story to share with your youngster at bedtime or anytime.
This book has educational value, it will help your child to have an positive attitude, teaching them how to encourage others. The story of Edward the Egg has valuable lessons of courage, determination, and kindness.
This is a series of stories about a brave little egg. Edward is never afraid to try something new, even if it seems scary. I think it's a good message for kids. I recommend this book for early readers.
This book is about being brave. An egg goes about his day, going to the store to buy ingredients for his family's cheese biscuits. So he has to be brave to get to the store, be in the store, and get home without being eaten. In each situation, he helps someone, who in return helps him. If he hadn't been brave enough to help each person or animal, he would not have made it home safely. You just have to be brave and kind. Great book for kids.
I love how this book is inviting both for English and Spanish readers. What an egg-cellent ;-) way to advance bilingual vocabulary in a welcoming and non-threatening manner. Plenty of text to work with to build out language skills, but not so much as to be overwhelming as the text is broken down into manageable pieces. Great idea!
Edward the Egg is about having enough of a curious and adventurous spirit. His mantra is, "If you never try...you'll never know." This collection of stories should inspire youngsters to explore the world around them and experience new things. Edward inevitably has a mishap that cracks his shell, but someone always helps mend him with some sort of tape. (It's always some kind of ludicrous tape that you've never heard of before. It's very funny.) Youngsters should read into these mini-disasters that it is OK to fail at something as long as you get back up and, perhaps, let someone help with the journey. A recurring theme in the stories is Edward's fear of being eaten or crushed, but always pushing past his fear. He is constantly surreptitiously slipping in somewhere to observe someone performing the activity he is trying to learn, and then he sometimes falls asleep. The illustrations are sparse but are inserted with a unique intent. Usually, there is a setup frame followed by a blank, interactive frame. The setup frame is a crude pencil drawing depicting some part of the action in the story. The interactive frame contains instructions for the youngster to draw their own picture to illustrate the action and then color it. By providing such a low bar of artistic sophistication, the child should not be intimidated when comparing their art to the previous frame. This should make the activity a lot more fun for the child. This will make the book truly personal to the child. This is a fun book with fun adventures.
I love the fact they can read and draw inside the book along with the story
An enjoyable and valuable read for kids. The book teaches important lesson on kindness and bravery.
